Product Links & Reviews
Below are links to some of the products we chose for our build. We selected a 33 Gallon Fresh Water Tank which will hold plenty of water for showering and washing dishes without the need to refill everyday and it fits nicely under one side of our bunk and the 15 Gallon Grey water tank mounts nicely under the van on the rear passenger side
We found this nice barn door kit for a great price that was the perfect size for our 42 inch shower, they do come in multiple sizes. This shower kit we selected is a standard home shower kit in black.
The microwave we selected is one of the smallest we could find that would hold a regular size plate and also fit nice size Tupperware dishes for reheating food and 15 sink we chose does not have a faucet mount hole on the rim so it uses the maximum size for the sink itself. It can be top or under mounted.
We added two 37.5 x 16.5 inch bunk windows on each side which were rather easy to install and priced just right.
We did extensive research and selected the Separett Tiny Composting toilet which seemed to be the easiest to empty and also looks really nice. The ones sold on Amazon are priced at a huge discount because there was a slight issue with the screen that covers the solids tank which actually doesn’t affect its functionality. I was actually able to fix this myself and saved like 40% off the regular price.
Our 2018 Ram Promaster did not come with factory installed Cruise Control but this kit we purchased made by Rostra was really easy to install and works great.
For cabinetry, we chose the Diamond Now Arcadia brand from Lowes with the white Shaker door style. We found them reasonably priced and rather sturdy while lightweight, which is rather important in any build. The finish is also easy to clean and maintain. We chose the 30×12 inch size for upper cabinets because we wanted the doors to open sideways and we easily cut the base cabinet for the passenger side down to 20 inches.
We included links below to them on the Lowes Website.
For air conditioning, we chose the Mabru RVSC 12000 BTU 12 Volt Air Conditioning unit. We visited Mabru Power Systems in Dania Beach Florida for a demonstration in one of their Vans and we were extremely impressed with the performance. The systems uses about 50 AH of battery power on full blast and half that on Eco Mode. This will give us about 24 hours of continuous use on our 600 AH battery bank which is more than enough for a good nights sleep without depleting our power.
